do you think that aggression would be a problem with my polys? And if I get multiple of them will that even some of the aggression out? also how many (if I had to put more than one in the tank for aggression reasons) could I fit in a 6x2 footprint?

When i had just a single one before it will attack anything that move including bichirs going to the surface or tgose active ones. However when I added 2 more aggression started on each other and end up killing one another. Then added more till I end 7 of them. They first started nipping and chasing and fighting one another but the aggression is not as worst as when I used to have just 1 or 3. They later form a group and swim together and the aggression does not occur anymore even with other fish. They will nip each other from time to time but not intend to stress or kill just like before when it was just 1 or 3. So try to get more if u can.

so how many do you think would fit in a 6x2 tank? Also do you think that if I grow them out in another tank that they could get comfortable with each other in here there?

If they are the only fish in there bichir and knife they should be fine but always make sure ur filter can handle the waste. U can grow them out in a separate tank as well but make sure all introduce at the same time.

yeah it'd only be some polys, them, and an Irwini. So do you think 3 would be ok?

also what are some knife fish that can fit in a 20 gallon high?

Yeah u can try 3 but the weakest one will likely get bully by the other 2. As for a knifefish for a 20g high. U can try an african brown knifefish. No other feather backs exept that as most will out grow a 20g high. Plenty of south american knifefish species will work on the 20g high but not sure what species as too many dwarfs species out there but harder to find unless special order on private fish vendors
