DO NOT believe people when they say clown knives max at 24" mine is 26" and still growing... Living proof AND he was stunted half his like... One day a guy brung one into the shop in a HUGE 50 gallon drum and this thing was around 34 inches... The eyes were size of golfballs... It had apparently outgrown a custom 250 gallon... My good friend brian took it home and it died 3 months ago... It was EXACTLY 37 inches ON THE DOT. Now, I know lots of people on this forum are going to want to call BS and say i am a liar but I saw it with my own eyes and I am an honest person... BETTER YET, I shall text Brian right now and ask if he still has some pics of the day we measured this beast... (It MAY have been a chitala Lopis AKA, Giant Featherback which is my theory but it looked exactly like a typical clown knife) This thing was so old its skin Was cracking up little by little... Not a disease... Estimated 15 years or so but not sure AT ALL LOL! I was considering not even posting this because of haters but I will get picture proof... If anyone has questions feel free to ask...

What about a group of ABK's? should be large enough and smart enough to avoid your polys and as a group could make a nice mid/top predator yet pose no threat. most the species I would suggest that are oddball are all notoriousely aggressive ( carpo's and the like) ... and the ones that aren't like the BGK imo are potential food as they will seek shelter in the lower parts of the tank ( easy poly food) They look like clowns just not as colorful 'nore as big.. and lack the aggression afer's have. trumpets are rare/expensive and very delicate... not something i'de trust rough and tumble polys to be a good companion. I could be wrong but the last trumpet I saw was 250$ that's an expensive gamble personally on an already notoriousely hard to keep species. now that I ponder.. I wonder if a Dolphin might work. They are Mormy's but resemble the elephants w/out the lower sensor.
