That's a great looking ck that is normal growth in the Amazon its get big fast or be lunch .they do slow dawn he is like a teenager try not to over feed.

Is there alot of competition for food..is he afraid ? This guy had a great start in life because i kept him by himself in a tank and hand fed him..then when i moved him to the bigger tank he stayed inside his house because of the severum.. afraid ..but after a couple of days the boogie man fears dissapeared and he was back to eating good.. so maybe yours needs more food. When i have the light on in his tank at night he does not come out much..i feed frozen silversides at night every other night..so i take those thong things and hand him down his silversides.. he is spoiled.. haha but even though they are aggressive they are also timid at times so maybe yours is not eating enough .. just a thought! You don't want to feed to much but you don't want to feed to little either.
