i don't like it-- i would have totally switched my twin's to a single on my supra if i had any money after i bought it.

do you guys ever heard about edonis??
that's really insane
QUAD-TURBO..
Maybach Exelero (SUPER EXECUTIVE + SUPER SPORT)
Bugatti Veyron W16 - 16.4L
Cadillac Sixten V16 - 13.6L
all insane ...:headbang2

sequencial when properly tuned and set up will give you top boost right from the start... single large turbo will have too much lag at launch...

There are ways around that though.. from nitrous to just launching correctly and having something like racelogic traction control. Sequential systems in theory should be the best but in production cars most of the time they're a PITA for average joes.

Seriously my rx7 had 33 ft of vacum line in the engine bay and most of it was for the twin turbo system to operate. And after years of abuse + the high heat from turbos normal non-silicone vacum line breaks/leaks leaving you having to replace all those vacum lines. And one little line breaks/leaks and viola no more sequential system operating correctly. Something small like that can leave you with no boost at all, make your turbos kick in at the wrong rpm or other stupid headaches.

Actually IMO lag not that bad of a thing.. usually you won't notice much difference between it coming in a 2500rpm vs 3500rpm. It actually helps for putting around town too not to be in boost all the time.

I guess what I should say is there are advantages/disadvantages to both single and twin turbo setups..

supercharger or turbocharger doesnt matter too much these days, both have advantages and disadvantages and either can offer more horsepower than needed (so almost enough).

for turbos, i prefer single turbo on inline engines, twin turbos (non sequential) on V engines. most single turbos on V engines look akward to me.

twin supercharged yuck twin turbo is much better... wurm we need to do your car right come to the east coast lets get a turbo on that car

A guy did that on a redline, he put a Monster turbo on it, and still ran 14.7's.

It took way to long to get that turbo spooled. He had 350 HP, but none useful. I bet he could get that sucker to 170 MPH with the proper gearing though.

lol yeah horsepower is good.. but you have to consider powerband..

There is also someone working on twincharging a redline, and there are methanol injection kits. The fastes RL I have seen had nitrous, and ran a 1/4 in the 9's.

I believe it.. $$ and the right people can do alot..

So-Cal Speed Shop uses Redline/Ecotec motors in one of their bonneville cars.. although it's way more radical than stock.. still cool..
