Koi in a tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well I am think more room to move in my 40 I have. If I can save I certainly will get bigger and a pond. but I am thinking the length should help with the fish growing only for the fact they have more room to swim back and fourth. 29" sounds small next to 48". So I will do the best I can for my 2 koi and hope it works until the Big tank can be had.

A 40 gallon is rediculously small for any koi...they could potentially grow longer than the tank!

Welcome to MFK Loganblade! I did have at one time or another Carp and many different types of goldies in small tanks just like you and many many other fish keepers on this site and pretty soon it will become an addiction and at sometime you will get that really big tank and make everyone happy on this site, which is not true because there is always someone to complain about something, so once again welcome.
