How do you guys go about cleaning the bottom of your ponds? I dont have a B/D, and would love to find a way to get or make a large-scale gravel vacuum that most of us use in aquariums. There has been some sand and debris that fell into the pond, and the fish stir it up when they spaz out lol. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Oh, and is it a good idea to do a water change once the pond has cleared up more, or will that re-start the algae cycle?

I know they got BD's you can add after the pond is up if you want to. It sits on the bottom. I am not sure about the rest?

your pond is looking great!
This is the first year for my newest pond and still is green. I can see the fish when they are about 6 or 7 inches from the surface....I wish it was clearer but I don't have the $$$ right now to buy a uv filter. I'm hoping it will clear up before too long. I have some pond plants that I just added, which may help.

If you've no drain about the only option is fitting a retro one like this:

Looks nice in such a short time.

My pool pond is still dark green(Been this way since March)

Wife gave the thumbs up for a UV. Been looking for a combo as my current pump won't fit with one.

Been a long time since Ive been on, but took all the stuff out for winter so it doesnt freeze, and already has 1-2'' of ice on it! Looking to make the falls bigger next year, and add a 2nd filter with a UV light.
