Mostly started from the base then as time goes by they will surface too for food.

Koji, what you think of this idea for filtration.... stick a solids handling pond pump in tank pumping to a setup of mech/bio koi filter boxes then into a empty tank with a second pump of equal rateing to return water.... reckon it will lesson the amount of crap sucking? mite do internals filters at over end for water movement and air, could but one on bottom to push crap at the pump.....
and given the choice, would you go with 7x2x2 or 6x2x3 for tank lay out??? i duno... my mums doin my head in on tis one.... i offered double rent to have a bedroom down stairs so i could have a 8'er but she wont do that....
so i either go 7ong n 2wide or 6long n three wide??? i'm thinking 3'wide but i duno.....
