KOIs and Silver Arowanas: Good Mix or Bad?

I can see koi, especially during the spring breeding season, following an aro, nipping fins and stressing it to death...

Malaysian koi have no problems at temps of 76-78...I still wouldn't keep 'em with aros though...
That would be nice though, to have koi and arowana together cuz I like them both. I hope it works out.

Actually I observed last night and noticed that the aros are not as skittish anymore. I'm thinking they are slowing getting used to the kids.
But I never realized Kois were so ROWDY. It's such a stark contrast to the majestic, serene and regal aros swimming in the most relaxed manner possible. The two IDs I'd have to say are quite relaxed as well. The Giant Gourami, stays virtually in her 1' round around the DW and hardly swims anywhere else, so apart from the Kois, everybody is relaxed.
Never realized 4 additional fish can pester virtually everyone in the tank. The aros are just plain irritated I guess, this might not be all that bad as I haven't seen them go at each other since the kois came in. It's just that they swim around with this look constant frown and irritation like I threw in some 2 year old kids into their peaceful home

i don't think it is a problem for Koi in terms of temp per se since i saw plenty of koi ponds over here and other tropical neighbor countries such as Singapore (eternally hot climate unlike Laos where it can get nippy in winter)
heheheh in terms of suffering from keeping outside of 'normal' temperature range ... i recon aro would suffer more

After 2-3 days, the aros mellowed down, the Kois hardly approached them anymore, of course one of the kois had a big scar on his face. I'm sure the aro gave it a piece of its mind, now it knows its place in the pond.
Currently they have been together 9 days and it seems like all is doing well. I noticed though that one of the kois had missing scales, I scooped it out and quarantied it, hope it didn't introduce any parasites to the pond
I didn't quarantine the kois
After 2-3 days, the aros mellowed down, the Kois hardly approached them anymore, of course one of the kois had a big scar on his face. I'm sure the aro gave it a piece of its mind, now it knows its place in the pond.
