KoK = Flowerhorn term for 'Nuchal Hump'.
Nuchal Hump = Correct term when referring to the anatomy of the fish.

They like having things different.

If a exC. pearsei has a large hump on it's head, it's a Nuchal hump.
If it's a Flowerhorn, it's a KoK.

Whew, that's enough Flowerhorn talk for me for a week.

I believe this is correct.

KOK is the closest Chinese Hokkien dialect translation of the head of a male animal. Since flowerhorn originated from Penang, Malaysia, people call the head kok since the emergence of the hybrid chilclids.

I've only seen that term used in reference to flowerhorns before, until last night where I saw it used to describe a nuchal hump on a GT. That's when my curiosity got the better of me.

Thanks.
