I just thought it was a funny dino name... Kolibasaurus Rex, K-Rex or Rex for short.

It just came in today and you can tell by the shadow its a good size. 14" easily

Curled up in the bucket, acclimating for the transfer into a 75g quarantine

Very happy with this guy. Cant wait till it colors up. This was from the seller after a night in his tank ( the before shot he sent looked like the bleached out looking pic above). So I am expecting it to look a bit better by tomorrow.

So after a bit of time in QT and seeing that he eats, he will get moved over to my 210 gallon community where he will be with a 13" weeksii and a 9" del. Hopefully in a month or so our home remodel will be done and my 300 gallon will arrive and Rex will live out its life in there.

Congrats on the new addition! Potential to be a stunner after settling in.

I thought Adc only had a koloton. I've seen the koloton a few times in person, but haven't seen a Koliba.

As you may know already they're similar laps. I believe the Koliba are more dark brown while koloton is closer to an olive green.

I was literally in the middle of talking with Jason about what I wanted and he had sent me some pics of the fish he had in stock and I mentioned the Koliba and next thing I know, he checks with a supplier who happened to have one. He went ahead and ordered it for me. It never even made it to the for sale part of his fish stock list, lol.

The Koloton he had was a much darker green than the koliba.
