Ok so After about a year of talking about it and a few tanks setup and tore down. I finally got a setup that I had to put a ray into.

It's a 220 with a tile bottom. I have yet to add any decor but a bubble disk. and that's more function then form.

It's a 8"+ disk male motoro. He came from another member JohnC. He's doing great and has already ate about 6 hour into the tank. and taking pellet. I didn't think he would eat this soon and I tossed in some pellet and he went right for it. I was very pleased with that. Well enough talking here's the pics.

first three pics are in the tote that I brought him home in. with the flash on. Next is in tank flash Off. Last is in tank flash On.

looking sweet!!! welcome to the tiled tank family...lol

I love the tile so far. I've done gravel, bare, painted, sand and tile. And tile is getting my vote for best looking so far.

Nothing I had to spend a good amount of time with a wet saw to make sure that they fit nice and tight.

JohnC said that he thinks it's a runt that's why he's got fully mature claspers. and he said he's very passive. and would allways eat last. Maybe out of his tank and into mine he'll pack on some size but I'll be happy if he never gets over 12"

Is the tile under the tank? Or in the tank? I assumed you glued it to the bottom of the tank, Outside?

Nope it's IN the tank. Nope It's just layed down in. I can remove or replace it anytime I want.

So that stuff is just cut to fit? That sh1t must be tight?

Pretty tight. It took me about 2 hours to get it all cut to the right size. I had a little problem with the saw when I started and I wasted 2 pieces of tile b/c the saw was not cutting straight. But once I got it where it was straight I had to cut each piece at least twice before it was ready to go in the tank.

I cut bevels into the corners so they would sit flat b/c the build of of silicone would not let them sit flush wit hthe bottom. You don't really notice it b/c it's only a small piece of the corner I took off and it's also the only way to get the tile out. If I hadn't cut them like that I would have had to get a big suction cup to pull them off the bottom if I ever wanted to change them.
