Peanut - I wasnt aware that algea growing on a turtle was a bad sign of health? Doesnt this also occur in the wild too thou?

its actually quite normal for mata matas, since they rarely or never come out onto dry land.

and yes it does occur in the wild. It better conceals the animal when waiting to ambushing prey and good cover against predators.

jer, blue green algae or cynobacteria is more of a slim/ film. it doesnt grow into hair algae.
