Kribensis Fry!

So I removed the fry yesterday from the tank, and put the shelter back in. Just checked today in the shelter, and found another batch of eggs.

What kind of shelter? Is this a small krib-only tank set up for breeding?

I miss my kribs. Maybe I'll set up a tiny planted tank somewhere for a pair of them.

Its just an Exo Terra Reptile Cave. Size is Medium. Works great! And yes, it is a Krib only tank. Hopefully getting some plants for it soon.

Think I got them in late April. They spawned about a week after being added to the tank, ate the eggs, then spawned again less then a week after that. Had the fry, I let them grow out a little bit, took out the fry, as said Yesterday, added the Shelter and they must have spawned that night. Guess I'll move the fry sooner next time.

That's awesome though. Hey what's the best way to tell the difference between the male and female kribs?

I was planning on breeding some myself one day.

I was planning on breeding some myself one day.

The females will have shorter fins, and are also a but "stubbier". They will also tend to have a dark pink coloration on their stomachs, as opposed to a male.
