Kribensis???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yea that would be best and when ur pbass grows 75g would be way too small don't know much about them though but I do know they get like 2foot long and eat everything possible to fit in their mouths even him only being 6in I would put it past him and basketball goal sized mouth LOL

A 6" peacock could easily eat a 4 inch krib if it wanted to. Even if it doesn't first thing it will pretty soon. They grow so fast it is going to need to be out of the 75g before you blink. Why not move the peacock now and add the kribs.

Would it be in my or better yet the pbass' interest to part ways with him now?? HE is about 6-7 inches and eats like a horse. Realistically how much longer could i keep him in a 75gal, my LFS has a spot for him maybe I will just donate it to them and let them put it in there show tank. and get some better tank mates for my 75.

I'm don't know a ton about pbass but I would think once it hits 12" it is going to need a much larger tank. Plus at 12" it could eat some pretty large tankmates. If you are not going to have a tank that is 8 X 2 ft in the next year you would be best served giving it to the store if they have a place for it. If the bass is eating good it will probably be 12+ inches in 6-8 months.

I have kribs in my SA tank with geos and some dorsigera. They're so closely related to dorsigera - basically the same fish but on different continents - that it doesn't even bug me. Kribs were one of my favorite fish from way back so I'm partial to them to the point where I may keep them in the tank I am setting up to be a strict amazon tank (because otherwise I think my datnoids would eat them). As long as they aren't small enough to be eaten, temperament and parameter wise you'll be fine with them in that tank.

I went ahead and picked them up tonight for $12 bucks. Breeding pair. Couldnt help myself, such a cool little fish.
