I have a 29 gallon aquarium that currently is home to 8 tiger barbs. I was thinking of adding a pair of kribensis to it. Anyone think this is a bad idea?
Let me know,

I think you'll be okay if that's all that's in there both species basically have the same temperament so if its just the 8 tiger barbs in the tank I'd say your fine nothing to worry about

Well I'm hoping that the tiger barbs will be aggressive enough to hold there own. I am afraid though that the kribensis will establish a territory and relentlessly harass the tiger barbs when they try to go anywhere near the bottom.

I doubt you'll have a problem. If they breed they'll defend where ever they are down the bottom but in a 29, they shouldn't hassle the barbs too much.

The convicts would eventually kill the tiger barbs. I have 8 tiger barbs with a 6 inch Vieja and a 8 inch Chocolate Cichlid in my 120 and they do fine together.
