Congrats! Kribs make great parents. Mine keep a tank full of CA/SA cichlids 10x their size at bay. Krib fry are very easy to raise, too. I feed mine crushed flake, nothing special at all.

Mom isn't looking very colorful in those photos...if that's how she looks normally, I'd go looking for a better female. A really good female should look like this:

bad camera, dirty glass, and bad picture taking contribute to mom looking "ugly"

i like her, i doubt ill just say sorry ur ugly toss her and go get a "better" one. These are a pair of kribs that are my pets not my money making fry producing property. i like her, all that matters :D

thanks though:thumbsup:

Kribs update!!! the babies were removed today. It was a hard task with a 4 year old running around dangerously close to the bucket of fry :nilly::nilly::nilly:i was able to net out every single one. im guessing about 50 fry. i will post updated pics in there nw grow out tank. they are eating well :D:D

yup, first in a 10g then a 20g then we'll see maybe if they are big enough they will just be in new homes by then. :)

Whats the size of the parents???????????

Glad to hear they're still doing well! I've got a pair with several week old babies in my 90 gal tank.

i was going crazy yesterday deciding whether or not to remove the babies , i finally decided i would beucase last time the parents ate the babies after 3 weeks. so i wasnt sure to take the chance. i would love to see pics of older babies. these are starting to get that "real fish" look instead of just eye with stomachs look.
