Is it okay to feed bass freeze dried krill? My bass is pellet trained but he gets WAY more excited when i give him krill! I am thinking about buy i big jar of it tomorrow but figured i would ask first just to make sure. I give him a varied diet of worms, feeders, shrimp, krill, and pellets. Is that a good diet?

Krill isn't a staple but can be used as a treat or part of a varied diet....that sounds like a good diet just make sure to quarantine those feeders.

If your feeding bloodworms i would limit those. It doesnt have almost any nutritional value and its like candy to fish. Brine shrimp are 10x worse. Brine shrimp are the exact nutritional equivalent of lettuce. Bloodworms are just a little bit better. Just fyi

Just give him good pellets (massivore), the occasional prawn, and thawed frozen Talapia. No diseases that way, and plenty of nutrition.

Yeah I give him all of this I was just wondering about the nutritional value of krill. As far as the feeders I breed them my self so no chance of parasites :)

Where did you learn that brine shrimp and blood worms have no nutritional value? Sounds like bs to me

i used to feed tons of krill, i used to buy 1 kilo every other month and never had any issues. but i noticed alot better growth and color when i switched to NLS and other more nutritional foods

What's NLS?
