Just got a 2 1/2" L-114 last week ... put him in a 10gal bare bottom tank with a large anubias sp. plant ... been throwning down bottom feeder pellets, algea disc, frozen shrimp bits, cucumber and cabbage ... so far i haven't seen him eat or his stomach full ... the tank is sitting below a window but the plant provides plenty of dark hidding places ... anyone recommend the specific food this fish needs ... i read up on planetcatfish site and follow what's recommended and my last L-114 developed rot fins and eventually died ... thanks in advance

More meats then vegies, but still fill with vegies too.

shrimp and try bloodworms or other larger worms to get him feeding. A lot of the time they won't feed for a week or so, let them settle in. Make sure it has hiding places - caves/bogwood etc. Remember to feed at lights out in the dark.

mine eats veggie flakes, brine shrimp, regular shrimp, bloodworms, wafers and pellets but is now hiding alot in a new piece of wood i just put in.

i'm happy to report that mine is eating fine now ... like davo said .. it takes a little more than a week to get settled in and now eating frozen shrimp ... will post pics later
