Hey guys so this fish store in my town hopefully will be getting one or two of these bad boys in. I'm not the most knowledgeable about plecos & I was wondering how rare/common a L-18 is & what the normal going rate for them might be in your neck of the woods. I think they are going to charge somewhere around $40. I personally think this is one of the beautifulest plecos (that ive seen so far). Thanks :)

Edit: Oh they are also supposedly going to be wild caught or F1's

Also if anybody has an L-18/177/85 and would like to post some pics that would be totally cool too :)

I had one and paid about $50 for it. My clown pleco attacked it one night and now he is gone. I would love to get another but none of the LFS seem to carry them regularly. So it's kinda hit and miss.

I think this one cost me $20 about 5 years ago. I had to seperate it from the other 3 because of fighting. it is around 6" now. Not the best pic but it has lots of color ! This is from the other day hild doing a w/c.

I payed about $40.00 for mine about a year ago. I got my LFS to special order him and a Royal Pleco.

Picked up this guy maybe a year ago. This is an old pic btw, he is about 4.5" now. I paid $35 for him.

I saw a nice 6-7 incher for about 80$ at a LFS a few months back. Thought it was a good deal till i saw cheaper one a local vendor had. So 40 should be a good price, especially if wild caught or F1

Anything over 6" is rare. I saw an 8" one a few months ago for $250. Of course I passed it by. I'd buy 10 6" at $100 if I every see them. I have 4 that have taken over 2 years to go from 2.5" to 5".
