I am interested in Baryancistrus Demantoides, the smaller of the two L 200, @ 5.9" max.

Would like to add several to a 144g Altum tank to replace six 7-8" Galaxias, L240, love them but they are quite the $#it factories.

In spite of caves, rocks and wood, the L240 are out and about alot, do L200 hide all day, or will a group of 4-6 be active and show themselves through out the day and more so in the evenings ?

Thanks for the quick reply yayfish24,

Glad to hear they are active and showing themselves. As for the "poo factory" issues, I'm hopeful a smaller more slender type pleco = smaller poo.

Have not decided if I'll make the change yet, but good to know it's an option.

I agree, my group of l200's are always out, I put the zucchini and the "pack master" comes out and start devouring the thing while my hand is still in there.

Found some L200 for sale from a private collector. The problem is when push comes to shove I can't part with my L240.

So plan B is put 4-6 L200 in my 90g which is currently housing some newly purchased Orinoco Altums. I've posted in the angel/discus, regarding quarentine time.

I don't want to pass up on there Phantoms, worst case senario could I temporarily house 3-4" L200 with 6 large,7"+ Galaxias, (L240) ?

Thanks again guys, I'm totally sold on L200, hope I can pick some up sooner rather than later.
