At first size was a concern, planet catfish lists them at 5.9" max, not the first time they got it wrong. Now still being a pleco addict I just need a few of these guys, never had them before.
Things have gotten iffy with my Altums, and I do not want to chance adding smaller L200's to the L240, so I have to wait.
Since we last spoke, some time ago, I had to sell off my Panaques due to back problems and their filter clogging talents. Now I have much longer filter maintenance intrevals, but have slowly started upping the pleco count again, pleco-itis never ends.
I'm now entertained by 3 albino sailfin gibbys, 8-12", 6 gallaxias L240, 7"+ and of course, could'nt stay away, 1 L190, 4"+ and 1 L027, 3"+
Top of the list now are 4-6 L200, and that will be as good as it gets for a while.
Hope you and your herds of royals are all thriving, Regards, Mark.
All the sizes that PlanetCatfish state are in SL (standard length, without caudal fin) rather than TL (total length with caudal fin). It could probably do with being more obvious because nearly everyone else works in TL.
My horde is steadily increasing, I've got three Panaque nigrolineatus L190 between 20cm/8" and 40cm/16" (the biggest being my avatar) and nine Panaque sp. L027 between 12cm/5" and 23cm/9" (seven are Xingu, one Tocantins, one ?). I'm still always on the lookout for any L027, but they are sooooo rare atm, but I should have another Xingu 15cm/6" soon. I can't blame for you cutting down on them, they are difficult. The basis of my filtration is the same (pressurised pond filter, Eheim 2180s, Eheim 2252s) but my WC's are up to about 33% three times a week or so.
