I see many builds of rectanglar tanks but what about l shaped. I was thinking 7' plywood back panels and 4' viewing panels in the front. Would there be a problem with that using 1/2 acrylic? It would be 3' deep and/or could i go with 4x4 viewing panels.

I don't see that the pressure being a problem but i want to know what you guys think.

Could work. Draw up a blue print for us to see. Just so we can get a better idea of what your thinking.

Here is a rough draft type thing. The black will be 3 or 4' depending on responses, but it's how i want my layout to be. The red will be the viewing windows.

If you build this out of 12 or 14 inch cement blocks you will need to buy a speical L shaped corner cinder block that is ment to link up corners in cinder block walls.

Should do it out of wood. Easier to move and looks nicer.

with a tank this size if you have the extra room that the blocks take, up go for it. making a tank this size out of wood would be a MAJOR pain in the ass. I thought the 1,000's of screws i went through on nmy 900 was bad mine was only a 8L,3W,5H. save yourself the efford go with blocks.

i going to make it out of wood. But i think you guys have my idea wrong. Its not going to be a gaint tank just a 7x4x3 and a 4x3x3 combined.i don t know how much that is but that's what im trying to make. Sorry if my post don't make any sense.

That IS a giant tank. Well compared to most tanks anyway. But Half inch acrylic might not be good enough. It might be for all I know but you should look further into it.
