Omnivore, feed the same as a gibby (L083), Lettuce, Peas, Frozen Spinach and any prepared food that reaches the bottom. Larger fish enjoy prawns or pieces of freshwater trout.
Other: Territorial when older, can hold its own against some aggressive tankmates. Will always win battle for food over weaker plecos. It will remain dark, or at least a dull black grey. They are a very interesting pleco and mine was quite active, although eventually i had to get rid of him because he was getting a bit to aggressive with my other plecos.

the xanto is a goldie color the gold fin is grey with a hints of gold just jmy experiance with this guys mine became very docile when the tank had little airation i wound using a skimmer to airate the water and a mixed diet is important try some potatoe slices cucumber try as many possible foods to keep their health up heres a pic of the one i had
