Hi All,

I am thinking of getting a L114, Pseudacanthus leopardus.
It will be quite expensive unfortunately.

Does anyone have any experience in keeping these?
How hardy are they?
How sensitive to water conditions?

Any advice would be great.
Thanks

I have about 2 inch one for about a year now and it is pretty sturdy. It eats meaty foods algea wafers and cucumbers. It gets bullied around by my 8 inch l330 but if he wants something he'll get it. I say go for they are beautiful pleco.

I agree.. I have one about 4" now. They are slow growers but a very beautiful fish... Pretty hardy as long as you start with quality stock.. I have 5 different species in a 120 and they don't bother one another.. In fact they mostly hang out together... I say go foe it..

Yeah I have about 20 different types of plecos in 150 any gallons they all eating together and roam togther never have any types of scuffles. Get it u wont regret it post pics to

Thanks for the encouragement.

Reason I ask how hardy it is as my water parameters as follows:
Ph 7.6, moderately hard.
I use Black Water Extract in my tank, but unfortunately RO isn't an option.

I have one now. Hes only about 2" but ive only had him for a few weeks. I used to have one about a year ago that got to about 4" and died. Im not sure what he died from but my water is always just about perfect. I have mine in a ph of 6.8 and little to no nitrates. How much do they go for in the uk? I got mine for $35.

I have had them for years. Great pleco/ I'am trying to breed my 11 inch male and 7 inch female. Also have another 6 inch not sure of sex yet L-114 in there. All I feed them is NLS 3mm (have been for 3 years now). They are non demanding and as long as you keep up on your water changes they will be fine. They tend to hide more when little but when they pass the 6 inch mark you will see them more and more, my 11 inch L-114/L-600 is always in the open. You will not regret picking one or a few up as they are a real looker even when small.

I hear there really hardy and easy to care for, I love there colors so im getting one soon for my stock when my 55G is set up. But why will it be expensive? How much?

If you breed, I want one of the babies..
