L114

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I went to have another look at them at my LFS today. But didn't buy yet.
My main concern is whether a L114 will be ok in my water. It's not the ideal parameter for wild caught Plecs. Will I get away with it though?
Expensive = £60 for a 5cm fish!

I tried a currency converter and that comes out to about $80 US dollars. Thats almost three times what I paid for mine. Crazy stuff but must be harder to get over there.

It's more like $95!
Certainly not cheap.
The L114 are really nice, but I want to be sure I can keep them alive before I get one!

My big one cost me $300 plus $105 shipping at 8 inches at the time. I have seen 2 inch specimens on aquabid go for $35 plus shipping. They have been bred in captivity but have read fry are hard to keep alive. Therefore more are wild caught thus higher expense.

I have managed to find a L114 a lot cheaper that the one I originally saw. £30 for a bigger one than the original I saw. Much better deal.
They are getting a new batch in from their supplier next week - have reserved one.

Well I finally managed to track down a L114. The person who was allegidly going to get the £30 fish let me down.
But someone on a specialist Catfish forum suggested I go to a LFS not far from me. They had 3 inch ones for £45.

The minute I let it go into me tank, it swam into the pile of bogwood in the tank. And I haven't seen it since. Hope it comes out soon.
