I had a similar dilemma choosing between Pseudas, L200, Hypancistrus sp (L129 or L34) and Peckoltia sabaji for my 6ft tank. Eventually decided on L200 (I ended up going for an Orinoco Basin tank, so that ruled out the Pseudas) and have not regretted it. they're so cute!

I used to have 2 reds but the other one died so i have one left and i got a bunch of "red faced" which some looks like rotkiel and the other looks like a good quality greens. The best part is I got them for 50 cents each from a local hobbyist! I dont think you can find that cheap anywhere. i got them at about 1 inch but they are about 3 to 5 now.

I was in stockton in early june and there was a petstore there that I went to( i forgot whats the name) and they had some nice looking L200's for 40 bucks but I know that stockton is a good distance from bay area.

50 cents! :WHOA: I can't even find greens for cheaper than 7 dollars!

Yeah Stockton justs too far away. I don't think I'll have a problem finding a L200, I've seen them locally before.

Is anyone else noticing that LFS's are carrying less fancy plecos? For the last 2 months or so, I havn't seen an LFS have more than 1 fancy pleco (most have none), when I use to see some have 4 to 5 (and even 9 once) at a time.

my l200 isnt very active at all.

well every fish is different i guess

Just an update on my situation...

My plans for one of these pleco's have been put on hold until I can find a red severum (who knows how long thats gonna take :irked:). I'm kinda torn now on which one I want to get. I thought I was 100% sure I wanted a L200, but I'm really tempted to get a L114, and the poll is reflecting the same overall opinion. Maybe I'll just end up getting both and sticking one in the 55 and the other in the 210(+).

A guy at my lfs has 2 L114s he keeps trying to get me to buy. However from what I've read they tend to be aggressive toward similar species and, let's face it, when they'd go in my 90 if I got them, and he has them in a 180, seems like a bad idea.
