Congrats! I love mine. I recently saw a full grown one at the LFS very impressive! I cant wait for mine to get full grown mine is about 3" now. I rarely feed anything special he seems to do fine on on what I feed my other fish which is pellets for the cichlids and flakes for the dither tetras.

My Green Phantom is out and about all the time. I rarely see this one hiding, and he's one of the first to chase after food at feeding time. Mine is about almost 2 inches (got him early January, after losing my previous of almost 2 years to my Roomie overfeeding my fish). The other plecos I have are a Leopard Sailfin (about 10 inches), King Tiger (about 3 1/2 inches), Blue Panaque (about 2 inches), and Gold Nugget (about 4 inches). They are all in 1 72 gallon tank. I feed all of my fish TertaMin Tropical Fish Flakes along with alternating Frozen Blood Worms or Frozen Brine Shrimp or Frozen Krill. As a treat, I occasionally toss in some Hikari Algae Wafers or Sera Catfish Chips. So far, the only thing I haven't seen my Plecos go for is a piece of Sweet Potato and a piece of Yellow Squash. I've seen 3 of them go for Cucumber.

Cueball your tank sounds awesome!! I love the king Tigers. I'm just getting into plecos so I thought I'd start out with just 2. I have the green phantom and a galaxy. Both about an inch or so. They're more active at night. I'm trying cucumber again tonight, wish me luck! I have seen them munch on algae wafers and some shrimp pellets. I'm going to get more variety this weekend when I go to my LFS and try some different things. I've only had them for a day, so hopefully they'll get used to the routine and get used to the tank.

Absolutely... I wrote all about it here: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?600383-I-m-Heart-Broken

What made it worse was, I had just gotten off work, and was on the road heading home when my Roomie called me up (at 7:30 AM) to tell me he thought there was something wrong with the tank. He asked me if my filter was working (because he didn't hear any noise (my Fluval 406 is pretty quiet), and he said that the water looked a little cloudy and the fish seemed to be swimming about very listlessly. I told him that I would not be home for another 2 hours, and I would check everything out as soon as I got home. When I got home and saw the tank, I knew EXACTLY what had happened.

Just read it thats horrible man sorry
