Does anyone have experience with L240 plecos I recently acquired a 4"-4.5" specimen and am looking for advice on creating the best diet, housing, etc. for him/her. He is currently in a heavily planted 75g with a very large 46"x15" piece of driftwood as well as a couple other small pieces if driftwood. Currently feeding my other plecos sweet potato and algae wafers and of course they are all day and all night feeding on the driftwood.

Sounds like he should be pretty happy. Especially if you put some meat in the for him from time to time like bloodworms or brine shrimp.

They can be very aggressive towards other bottom dwellers and especially their own. Awesome fish though especially when they get bigger.

I used to feed mine some frozen krill here or there but mostly what you feed your plecs.

I have 3 but they are aggressive with others. My male killed the female is is always harassing the other smaller one in the tank. Ive never seen mine go after veggies but they love nls and i give them shrimp from time to time.

I miss mine. It was at 10" and thick. Stick to the higher protein foods. Mine loved most pellets and went nuts over shrimp and cut tilapia fillets on weekends. Thawed frozen krill was also well received.

Well almost 2 weeks have went by since I had acquired this guy and I can tell you his color has significantly improved from having cloudiness to his overall color to now pure deep black with bright white spots. He absolutely LOVES black worms and thawed krill cubes. I haven't tried tilapia filet or market shrimp but will be trying both within a week or so.
