No probs at all Hank glad I could help you, all them prices seem good in my opinion, but don’t forget the smaller panaques in my experience have a far higher mortality rate then say a specimen of around 7”- 9” so just bare that in mind before you decide which way your going to go, no surprise about the TP, there very very difficult to obtain (took me over 2 years) hence the very high price, I’m actually not sure how hard they are to get anywhere else, but in the uk it’s almost impossible.
You make a great point on the risk of small exotic plecos. That has been my experience.
I have kept L-14, 24, 25, 114, 273, 600, Chubby Yellow. Never had a Typhoon or Luteus. I am currently trying a small L-14. In talking to some very experienced Pleco hobbyists in Houston, collectively their experience on young specimens of expensive plecos is not good.

yes the guys from Houston are right, at The moment I have x2 L14, x4 L25, x6 L27 different collection points, x2 L90, x1 LDA105, x3 L114, x5 L128 x10 L144, x1 L160, x1 L190, x1 L191, x5 L200, x1 L273 x10 L333, x1 L600 and a blue eyed panaque, plus more that I will have forgotten Spread over 4 tanks all of which are either adults or over 5”- 6”, i only have 2 over 12” though, I’ve grew small L14, L114, L128, L144 and L200 over the past couple of years in 75g grow out tank, and I lost 5 out of the initial 28 I bought, x1 L14, x1 L128, x2 L144 and x1 L200 all died over the course of around 18 months to two years, I absolutely hate losing fish especially L numbers, I said then and I’m sticking by it, I’ll never buy tiny ones ever again, I don’t even know how they died as my water gets bi weekly changes and is great 99 percent of the time, I’ve not lost and adult L number for around 6 or 7 years, so no idea how the smaller ones died

I’ve been collecting L numbers for around 10 years maybe more, not sure about the USA but in England the typhoons are totally impossible to get now , and on the very very rare opportunitys they do come up for sale there crazy money, normaly around £100 pounds +++ per inch of size, the 4” typhoons are around £400-£500 pounds, as they get bigger, prices just go mad, it’s well over £1500 pounds for one over 12”, never seen one that size in real life though, mines around the 9” mark.
