That’s how it look at the shop, that how I made easy decision.Looks amazing in those pictures. Is that how it looked in person too? Also how it looked in the shop or was it more of the traditional grey coloring?
I'm getting really tempted to buy the BIG one I found. It's been in the shop for a long time so I know its stable and they'll discount it for me. It's got some contrast, as shown in my really bad picture of it but if it'll lighten up in my tank I may need to pull the trigger on it.
My Araguaia and Xingu are both somewhere between 6"-7" and seem to pretty much ignore each other. The Jamanxim is about 2/3 their size and just hangs on the back glass in front of a power head. I'm hopeful the big guy might be just pick a spot to own and ignore the others...
Would a big panaque be OK in a 150 gallon?
Thank you!Thats a beauty.
Don't blame you. If I saw that fish I'd have had them bag it right then - and probably would have overpaid...That’s how it look at the shop, that how I made easy decision.
The 150g is large enough, it up to you if you want to try the L330. Maybe this one is a gentle giant.
Too bad the araguaia lose it spot, just make sure the the big guy dnt single out any pleco to harass.
Post pic of the big guy, you didn’t take pics of you holding the L330 when you first got it?
Big 12” royals always kinda intimidating to me. I seen what they can do with their long odontodes. It only take minutes to inflict deep scratches to others plecos. I wondering why out of all the larger plecos types they have the longest odontodes. Will definitely keep an eye out to make sure he's not focusing in on anyone one in particular
I think I'm going to pick up some more larger pieces of wood later this week and rescape the other half of the tank.
It wasn't happy being picked up and we wanted to cause a little stress as possible. Just put it in the tray with some vampire plecos that were going into another tank while we filled a big bag for it. Took the picture then.
Doing a water change later today, will take pics.
