Ok 2 years ago when I first got into #plecos I started collecting other L number Plecos after keeping a couple of bristlenose. I bought this 1 (black/white stripes) labeled as L333. I always just considered it was what it was labeled. So all this time after seeing numerous pics of L333 I never notice mine looked different till now. I’m thinking more like L66….. what do you think?

Both 333 and 66 are Hypancistrus. They are similar. Maybe they are closely related.

Still, a nice looking fish. What other Ls have you got in there?

and a couple of calico bristlenose juvenile from a spawn last year. I removed the parents into there own tank now. Babies are so hard to catch.
 
Hard to tell with those pics. You have to take a side pic when the tail is fully open. Although it looks like a v in those pics, I’m guessing when it opens fully, it’s likely c shaped like L333
