There are lots of pic's of these gorgeous fish in breeding dress, here are some crappy ones of them in normal colors. They hide all the time in the tank they are in now so this was the best I could do for now. I like them just as much in normal mode. They are about 6" and 8" in the non breeding and about 4-6" in the breeding colors.

great pair and pics. They get better and better as they grow. Check out this pic of a male I had. This guy was around 10" and had beautiful blues on his flanks and great fins.

nice fish :)
but wanted to point out that the 'crappy' pics don't benefit from the good lighting that you have in their breeding tank :) i'm pretty sure they look better than those pictures actually suggest! but having said that i have seen these guys in normal mode and they ARE really quite drab fish...

I lost the male this weekend. Worse part is it was my fault. I removed a lot of the plants in the tank and the big Oscar. Without as many hiding places and the biggest fish in the tank gone, the sheriff (texas) killed him. At least I still have 14 juvi's from his only spawn.
