Yeah I can imagine. I've gotten glimps of their colors when they hit the light just right.

I lost the male this weekend. Worse part is it was my fault. I removed a lot of the plants in the tank and the big Oscar. Without as many hiding places and the biggest fish in the tank gone, the sheriff (texas) killed him. At least I still have 14 juvi's from his only spawn.

Sorry You lost him.I had 3 1" fry and left them togather too long.Came home from work to find the dominant one had killed the other 2.

Here some of some of their fry. The tank the parent were in broke and I lost all of the fry except for around 20. They are about 1.5-2" now and showing color in their fins.
