Labeled as Unknown PBass

[Laosy Fish]

These guys were looking skinny so the LFS gave them to me for "special" price. They were labeled as unknown Peacock Bass. And the store owner does not know what species they were. When I asked what species he replied, "peacock bass". then I asked again and again and still got the same answer. I don't know too much about cichla but i found myself educating the LFS about a fish that they were selling me.


So any help on ID-ing these two would be greatly appreciated...

i'd say mono. from what i hear they are hard to tell when young... but it looks just like my 2.5" mono when he was 1.5".
edit... but the last pic looks different cant really tell.
