best bet is to add some cover maybe a few plastic plants and a piece of driftwood..that helped me with aggression problems
 
i have lots of plants and some driftwood along with a castle.lol the monos are at the top corner hiding behind the heater. i'm going to see to keep an eye on this:popcorn:.

it might not matter. my mono was looking for the other constantlly... my 120 has plenty of hidding spaces heres a pic... some fish just won't give up till they get the kill.

I got them from Sea Escape in South Elgin on Randall rd. they were $12.99 but I got two for $10 each.

also this is the only place locally that carries live blackworms. $28 for 1/2lb and $40 for a lb. pricey but it's local

edit: BTW there is 5-6 cichlas left.

nice set-up. I have them in a 30g growth tank and will get transfered to the 150g once i get the jar to the 206g. i could seperate them since i have an extra 30g empty.
 
your Unknown cichla are very stressed and not used to their new environment. they are most likely cichla monoculus or cichla ocellaris, but until they get bigger and settle into their new home no one is going to be able to give you a definite answer.

that is probably why the peacock bass folks haven't said anything yet.

thanks and i hope they come around soon. Yeah I was not really looking for a definite answer jus a guess as to what they might be. I needed a guess of sp. so i can expect the unexpected. would be great if they ended up being monos.

i'll post updated pics of them in 6 months...:popcorn:
