Hi there

The common pleco I got with a tank purchase is upsetting my L-066s and L-264s :nilly: as they thought they were the big ones in the tank

I really do not have a big tank to put him in so he gotta go though I was going to try to keep him but its not fair to him when he gets even bigger in that tank

It got some awesome markings- so $30 would be great for it to make up for the ripoff tank price :)

If you're interested in a group of platies- they're the common variety the red body with black fins and black lips at least 6 adults and maybe 4-8 junvies/babies depending on what gets chomped and which ones smart enough to hide in the java moss- $10 for the group they came with the tank as well too

pixs of pleco is to show how big he is in a standard bucket and its coloring under the light it needs to be fed more as it was underfed and wasn't given right food for it- I'm working on fattening him up

pick up only please folks, I'm not confident enough to be shipping out fish yet

i live in arlington heights area and would love to see some pics of the juvies if possible im looking for some for a friend lemme know i might take the group and maybe the bigger guy to

alright- I pass through arlington heights on 83 during my work route I'm out in Mundelein and I'll try to get some pix tomorrow when I get home form work as I'm at work right now and I do already have pixs of the adults on my phone- no guarantees that theres any babies left in the tank as I have other fish in there as well too.

pix of the platies i had on my phone

let me know if you still want the pix of the young ones I'll TRY to get some close ups for you

i don't know how the pm thing works but drop me a line and lemme know i might take the larger ones too i have a tank i can put them in till they are healthier. seeing as your also in the area where do you shop for your fish? do you look locally or do you go online any info would be great. btw i used to live in mundelein there is a great fish shop in town i know the owner and his buddy that works there they can order really good stuff if u ever needed anyhting for fresh or marine "sho tank" is the name right next to ron's hobby shop

I go to Sho Tank from time to time but they never have the species I always want to have at that time- I usually shop via aquabid.com for my pleco collections or gcca swap meets, I actually have just started going to Tropical World Pets in Buffalo Grove before work from time to time as they have interesting cichlids to choose from as I just got some cory nanus there however I think they're another species. I also think they just changed owners too hence the reason why I started going there.

PM system is a breeze once get the hang of it.

Let me know if you want the whole bunch or just the babies or just the pleco I always can get more pictures for you before you decide as if you want them I can drop them off on my way to work around 230-3pm as I work the 2nd shift and sometimes I do overnights.

Cheers

90% of my fish come from Sho Tank. You can get anything from Matt. He is more of a reefer, but if you spend coin like I do, he will get you anything in a week or so.

Tropical World is decent. Old Orchard in Skokie is awesome. Living sea in Park Ridge is really nice, but a little pricey. Aquarium Adventure in Schaumburg has nice stock, but they are affiliated w/Petland so I don't spend money there. The GCCA site is also a great place to find fish.

Matt wasn't even able to get Jaguar Catfish-- I just LOVE his saltwater tanks just amazing- though I just think I'm plainly jinxed with securing the Jag cats. Maybe I ought go out tomorrow and visit him to see if he even had it on the list. As he has my email address and said he would email me if he was able to get some. Maybe I should be starting to work with Matt more often and start building a rapport buying my fish through him than 30-40 different folks that has what I wanted at that time.

I agree with the commentary about living sea off devon ave- though they're more geared towards saltwater as well too thats why i just don't go there as the freshwater selections normally is what I see everyday as its not far from my workplace.

For the Aquarium Adventure in Hoffman Estates- I agree a neat place to visit- tanks are very nice to look at. The stock is little bit on the expensive side as I can get a roseline shark for 15 dollars each while they were selling those for 50-60 I forgot last year, a huge difference. Haven't been there in few months though. Out of all stores I still have not had the opportunity to visit Old Orchard though many people have told me to make the time to go over there.
