the best i have caught at a pond down the street from my house was a channel catfish that was about 3feet long and an 7-8lb largemouth
Cought a 20 some inch Pacu in lake Erie..I was told they could never survive winters but they can i guess cuz more are being caught here
I've just caught some nice crappies and perch, my gf caught a 2ft+ grass carp in the local lake this summer. That was fun for her to reel in. Our town is built around a lake.
What i like about Mi is i got 5-6 lakes just right down the road, we have a major river a town away and access to lake MI, throught the pier. My best fish from lake near me would have to be hmm i dont really have any that stand out ive caught lots of 4-5 pound largies from most of them. My dad caught about a 7.5-9 pound smallie from one of them, released with no pics. He landed it lifted it up, un hooked it and let it go, she was full of eggs and spawning if i only i had remebered my camara was in my tackle box
