I'm going to take my son fishing for the first time in Lake Wilson and was wondering what bait to use to catch baby peacock basses under 6 inches. It has to be small because my son is just learning how to use a spinner and it's great practice. Thank you.

Okay, I'll stop by a store and pick some up. I wanted him to practice on tilapia's in the stream but I want his first freshwater fish to be a bad boy. I was gonna start him with oscars but I don't know how to catch them. Thanks guys.
What part of hawaii you stay? I grew up right by lake wilson, wahiawa hawaii!!! Leilehua Grad!!! for something smaller then 6" try trout lures bradda!!! that wat i was using to to catch them small enough to fit it my tank long time ago!!!

I know a good spot for big tucs. It's behind a condo.
I've used 5 star gens and blue gills for bait and brought up some monsters.
I've seen a 3 foot long snakehead there too. Crazy S***.
I have a hard time catching the 6" and under tucs. I'll try walmart. Thanks.
