i guess we can hence this comment..........:D

You guess? :screwy:Your fakers were just lucky to escape with a win. Nuggets or thuggets as many have called them will still take it in 6.

I don't think people hate the team as much as the fans. Just something about, Lakers, Raiders, Yankees and Boston(Red Socks/Patriots) fans that make others just want to puke.:barf:

I find that really funny..............
because the fuggets and chauncy were lucky that he got away with stepping out of bounds for that 3pointer in the last secounds of the game..;) so if your looking @ the point difference... you better think twice about LUCK:ROFL:

Why am i out of my mind? Show me one player in the last ten years who has put up the same stats as Kobe? Don't give me any Oscar Robertson or Wilt Chamberlain crap, the competition was nothing back then, just about any starter from the modern era would have been an all star back then. The caliber of the people Kobe is playing against, combined with the caliber of the players Kobe's been playing with, sends him far above any basketball player in history, except maybe Michael Jordan. Too bad they didn't peak at the same time.

I'll give you the Big O, Jordan, many others because the competition has inflated equally from then to now. Workouts have improved, training has improved. If the competition was so bad back then, then that would make those guys that much greater, right? Seriously, Robertson AVERAGED a 3/2! And the game was SO much more physical in their time. There weren't any puss bailout calls back then. Kobe's never been knocked into the crowd, just to have a point made to keep him out of the lane. Those guys in Cleveland and Miami right now are just as good, too, and they haven't even peaked yet!. I can't remember their names, maybe you can think of them. There was a poll the other day on ESPN.com of "where did Kobe rank in history?". You should be surprised to hear that only about 20% said top 5, nearly 30% said not even top 10, while 50% said top 10.

Sorry to burst your bubbles fellow mfk's. But Neither of those teams are going to win when they meet Cleveland.

"The Prince James" will eat any team up right now!
He's the MVP of this year and he will also be MVP in the Championship!

It's going to be Kobe vs. "The Prince James" formerly known as King James.
And with out a doubt, Cleveland gonna go farther than anyone!

All bow to the Prince!

I guess he IS just a prince, since he already got knocked off his home court pedestal by Superman and the boys.....

and everybody either loves or hates the lakers

Thuggets? Come on Cuban. No bandwagon here. I called them out when they made the Billups deal. They've been the real deal all season. And I don't love OR hate the Lakers, fyi :D

If you watch many games, you'd know those calls go both ways. LA STOLE a win AT HOME.

What? Not trying to be ignorant, but that makes no sense to me.

If Oscar had a 3/2, imagine what Kobe would have had. :nilly:

I'll give you that, the game was farrrr more tough back then. But the competition was far worse as well. O would MAYBE start nowadays, but he would be nowhere near as dominant as he was, or as Kobe is.

Just as good as Kobe? I think not. Wade and James are very good players, and James may very well go on to be the best player ever, but as of right now, Kobe's still got him. James won the MVP because he is "new blood" the NBA needs.

I saw that, and voted on it. That's simply because people don't take into account how much the game has changed, their top 5 probably consisted of many players from the 80's and earlier, when the game was completely different. Just like people saying Jim Brown is the best football player ever, i'd be willing to bet he wouldn't even start nowadays, let alone be dominant. The media feeds the Wilt Chamberlain, Robertson, Bird, West, stuff to bring back the "golden age" of the NBA.

I don't think you understand what he's saying. Imagine if kobe had just started playing basketball back in the 80's. Would he have developed into the same kind of player he is nowadays? Not only has the training improved but so has the nutrition and medicine aspect of sports. Dennis Johnson had a job as a forklift while playing streetbasketball before going to the nba. Now kids are playing year long and going to camps from the age of 5. You have to equal out the advantages and disadvantages before comparing two different eras.

funny, this thread is an oddball for sure. I don't really post much but this got my attention since I'm a huge Laker fan. Lakers in 6. BTW I love all you Laker haters, keep it coming. have a nice day.

Ohhh, i see now. That makes sense, it's basically what i was trying to say. But that's part of what has made Kobe so good, his improved nutrition and medicine junk. That's part of why he would have dominated back then.

Well sometimes it's better to be lucky than good..But LUCKY and GOOD would be the best..

Lakers fans are just so used to winning and seeing their team compete that sometimes they get carried away..I'm a LAKER fan I dont go on hating other teams if the Lakers lose to the nuggets then good for them I wont root for the magic or cavs just cause my team got whipped, I aint no bandwagoner, I'd sooner not watch the NBA than root for another team..LAKERS TILL I DIE hahahaha:)

GOOOOOO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think many players and professional analysts would agree that Kobe is one of the best closers in a game. Does luck play factor, of course but you win by 30 or 2 a win is a win...LOL

Only thing Lakers stole in game 1 was the Nuggs hopes that they were about to win...LOL

Game 1 was like a 1 on 1 between Kobe & Melo.... it was fun to watch the two battle it out in the paint. Hopefully game 2 the rest of the team decides to play....haha
