Notice how insects fly towards lights? What if we could harness the calories in these bugs by putting a small pond under porchlights, this would be great for fish like African butterflyfish, archerfish, cichlids or even a arowana or bullfrog! So what do unthinkable of this idea?

Bug lights have been used by pond keepers for some time and do seem to bring additional food items for the pond

It's an old idea yes, but not many people seem to use it.

They have specially designed equipment these days to put on docks and such that zap bugs, leading to free fish food . Pretty nifty idea.
