Landscape supplies sand?

in the US its around $10 for 50lbs or so. I have seen it come in a white color like marine sand or a light brown color. its all pretty much the same thing. do you have leslie's pool supply store over there?

Perhaps. I've seen people ripped of with gravel instead of sand here in Aus before though...

I find play sand a bit to fine. I use the pre-washed bags of sand from Bunnings. You still need to wash it more yourself but it works and looks great. Plus it is cheap enough.

Chores usually. I save up pocket money for two months or so and then spend it on my tank.

Eric I am a little confused...just the other week you were asking whether or not you should buy a green aro...and then I saw you express interest in the albino barra for sale...

And now you want to skimp on something as cheap as sand?

I have learnt a lot of lessons in this hobby..and as great as it is to save a buck here and there...sometimes it just isn't worth it. Just buy sand that has been proven safe for aquariums imo.
