very nice lapradei, does toyin guinea lapradei tends to get greener over time?
IME no, unless its a greener one to begin with. once it settles the color more or less stays the same, maybe darken or lighten over time. if the substrate/background color is changed, maybe it'll bring out color not seen before.

Well, i noticed my guinea laps have gone through a color change.
This is when i first got the, in quarantine.

I don't have a recent pic of them now, but now they have a brown base, with dark green stripes, which have become more defined :), but that could be attributed to them being on black substrate though
This is a pretty old pic though, to show the color difference

thank you all for the replies and the clarification on the volta endi form. looks like i am probably going to get the "Guinea" lap and endi when i upgrade tanks later this year.

Infblue- thank you and dont think twice about flooding pics next time:D btw, how many laps do you have? and sizes?

street cypher- nice laps you have there. what is your favorite endi form, Chad or Guinea?

Anne- pickles had some nice markings. i would say your picture skills are pretty darn good:grinyes:

thanx again all,
ray

xrayz,

My volta endi was by far my favorite variant, it was a maniac, but the particular one i had had a very fast growth rate. ALso it packed meat on very fast. It would hand feed a few days after i got it.

Between the guinea and chads, i'd go for either, but i think the chads have a slightly nicer pattern.

i want one!!!:WHOA:

xrayz,

what you see there is what i have :) and another one i'm not sure of the ID but should be a lap. most are in the 12"-13" range plus/minus 1", except for a regular lap that's smaller and a guinea lap thats quite a bit bigger. they don't seem to grow that fast once they hit this size range. maybe Street Cypher can chime in on the growth rate of his guinea laps.
