Yeah mine is a very picky eater. He only eats about once a week and only when the lights are off. Also he's in a bare tank and pretty much just sits in the middle all day. Not a fish to count on for "clean-up." Awesome looking though for sure! Try an endlicheri, not the most active either but seems to have more appetite.

i feed mine frozen shrimp about the size of large ghost shrimp and occasionally feeders.

my tank is only lit by the room's flourescent light and i find this makes him a little less shy.

for the most part he just lies on the bottom looking cool.

mine grows slowly.

Hello,

my Lapradei isn't shy at all!

When i come near the tank he is looking what's up ... he is the first when food comes into the tank - much quicker than the Channa gachua, well known for rapid food-habits.

It seems to me that Polypterids have very different "personalities" ...
