have you tried feeding sinking cichlid gold? that's what I had them on over here, as well as market shrimp. Are they losing weight?

Your setup sounds similar to the way I had mine.

it may sounds a bit cruel, but u can try live ghost shrimp, but u would have to injured them (eg. fracture their body w/o killing the shrimp).

try silversides feed at night raise the temp to 84 and give them time and good hiding places they have to feel secure and safe. and not a lot of light. and activety from tank mates if you have.

Lap is particulary hard to eat IME. I have had new endli, Buetti, Delh, Koliba and they all eat right away. But my lap took about 1 month to start showing interest in food and finally after 6 weeks, he started to eat krill. Still refuse shrimp and silverside, but it's just a matter of time before he decided to eat.

They won't starve to death, just keep throwing food once a week until he decide to take it. If he doesn't take it, remove the food, wait another week and try again.

Bichirs are natural hunters, they won't starve themselves to death

i tried another brand but didnt eat them i tried looking for them like at petco or petsmart since there the big pet stores and none of them have it, do you know where i cant find some, there the ones in the blue bag right

Yeah that's the one, I buy mine from hacienda aquatics in la puente.

If none of your smaller lfs have it, you can always order from John PTC in bulk. Last a long time and get more for your money.
