Large aggresive fish: What have you bred?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
my flowerhorn pair bred i kept them all together right from the start i never had to separate they are still taking care of the babies. this was my first breeding

I've had Jags, Oscars, and now a EBJD and JD.

The jag killed the female afterward, I didn't know I was supposed to seperate them.

With the Oscars(common and tiger) the male almost killed his brother in the tank so I had to get rid of the pair. they were beating on all the fish actually. They bred with 2 Pacu's, 2 common pleco's, another Oscar and a Jag in the tank(hence the female Jag).

Now I have 2 JD's breeding with a NTT dat, jardini, blue royal pleco, gold nugget pleco and a ornate birchir. I bought a 75g for them but I saw a 10" mono peacock bass at the LFS and seeing that it is my dream fish and I have never seen one in my life before I had to grab him. So he's in there waiting for all my other fish in the 120g to hurry up and grow a lil more.

My RD was around 12" when he attempted to mate with my 15" female FH. I say "attempted" because he wound up killing her before he could fertilize the eggs.

Oscars, and Jaquars
Oscar is nice and i have to separate them from the eggs, they eat it each time
for Jaqs i keep them for 3 weeks with the fry

Cool.
