thats it i would think alot older tan that. i have some at 4 and 5" i hope they get that big. i wounder what he feeds them. r they hard to raise to that size or something bc i dont see to many out there

thanks for all the response.....they are almost 3 years old. I feed them frozen krill, mysis, plankton, and live earth worms....they eat them whole.

rottbo - large balas are worth that much because they are slow growers, that's not an unusual price for 8/10 inches balas.

Sure you can get tiny ones for $3 but some people might want a 10 inch bala NOW, not 3 years down the line, see what I mean?
