If it's that kind of risk I'll skip it, I think I'll go with an Oscar. About introduction, should I get a rescue, or would the aggression pose a risk to the tank?
I say go with what it is that will make you happy. Watch the fish at the store for a while and gauge its aggression. Think about whether or not it will work out in your tank.

Fish can have extremely unusual personalities and temperaments. Some people have oscars who are complete wusses, while others have ones that seem to be possessed.

Every fish has a different personality and there can be cubans scared ****less of severums and vice versa.

It's up to you. Don't buy a fish that you know won't make you happy in the long run.

+1, i always watch for the boss in the fishtank at the store, if he has everyone in a corner then he may be too tempermental for your selection, but also make sure hes not one that is scared to death of a plant or flake of food, you want an outgoing, nice one that greets you when feeding time.. (all day long:naughty:)
