Where at in NC?

I am going by PetsSupermarket tomm. to check out their new stock.

If they have any common plecos, I will let you know their sizes, and prices.

From what I can tell, we are both in the Asheville area (never met him).

I'll be heading in to the Petsupermarket here on Sunday, I think, to pick up some stock for my kids' tank. I'll check and see if they've come to their senses on pleco pricing yet. Last time I looked, they were asking $27 for a 3" pleco.

Okay. PetSupermarket completely redid the entire store.

They had TONS of tanks and fish on clearance. Last time, they even had a baby ray in stock. :) They are under new management, and the pet store already looks MUCH better.

yeah I know the fish guy at pet supermarket he left to work for the post office for a couple years and now he's back at the pet store. I frequent that place a lot and haven't seen any decent size plecos in a while. I have seen a few at Asheville Aquarium/Java reef but that was before I setup my 125. If you have not visited that fish store it is a very pleasant one, the staff is extremely friendly and seem to know a lot about the fish they sell. I'm still considering you mid size pleco Gervahlt I"m just waiting to see if anyone has a bigger one to offer. Thanks for all the support guys! ;-)

They used to have some monsters...20-25" easy. I think the biggest I've seen there lately has been about 6" though.

I like Asheville Aquarium, but Dave (the owner) is much more into SW than FW, and the store reflects it. Good place though and the staff are fairly knowledgeable (if pushy sometimes). Petsupermarket here still has the best, and healthiest, selection of FW around here. They just have some funny pricing things every now and then. The Petsmart on Tunnel Road isn't bad here either, but they don't have anything except juveniles. I won't step foot into WNC Aquariums. Despite their selection (they specialize in harder to get animals), it's extremely dirty and horrible conditions for all their animals (snakes, rabbits, birds, miscellaneous furry creatures, the alligator that can't even turn around, and fish).
