Large fish

I love all of the Parachromis. All of them. But for me female Motas are the most beautiful and completely vicious of the bunch. I'd buy one for your 75.

I just had a member offer me Dovii and RTM juvies and fry, and I'm struggling really hard NOT to get more fish right now. lol It's friggin tempting though....RTM is one fish I have wanted for ages. Rapps has Yellowjackets and RTMs for sale right now lol wish I would have known that a few months ago

I don't like them for a lot of reasons........the reason they are popular is bc they are cheap and easy to find in your local petsmart/petco and seem to be the monster fish in those types of stores so majority of people want them.....

I think the reason I don't like them is bc people hype them up more then they should lol

I think the better question is why do u like oscars?

nice turn around there good for you. I love oscars because I feel like they are the most personable fish in aquaria they get,fairly large they have amazing colors and in my opinion they are easy to care for overall.

That's the thing even though they do have personalities there are more personable fish out there....they don't even get that large.....and they are basically red black and white.....they are hardy yes but as care goes they need a lot of filteration....messy cichlids......just my opinion....look deeper then petco and you'll fall in love with fish that oscars couldn't compare too.....after all I thought the name of the forum was monster fish keepers

I used to be a big fan of Oscars, but for the reasons you mentioned and then some I have certainly fallen in love with many newer species to me and many more I still want to add to my resume`.

The problem with Oscars among cichlids is that there are really only a few kinds of cichlids that can live with them with out killing the Oscars. They really DON'T do well in aggressive community tanks unless they are MUCH bigger than the other cichlids and can maintain the spot of "tank boss".

see to me that's the joy of the oscar you can put an oscar with all kinds of fish you can't mix other cichlid with its kind of nice to have a large cichlid with silver dollars, bala sharks, flagtails, tinfoil barbs and see them,not get beaten to hell and back that's just my opinion on them!
