Large mouth bass question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
it really depends where, when, and on the wheather conditions on what bass are going to bite, in my time fishing tournaments, that's what i have learned
there are all kinds on things we use

soft plastics< senkos, grubs, brushhogs, jerkbaits, tubes, the list goes on forever

hard baits< cranks, minnows, topwater

wire baits< jigs, spinner baits, chadder baits, buzzbaits

you just have to use the right thing at the right time, and in the right place, because we never know what the bass are going ti bite on, we bring 5+ rods to torneys, all rigged with different baits.

lately i have done good on, rapala DT cranks, gary yamamoto hulla grubs, and larger chartures spinner baits.

Pretty much all the plastic wurms work for me, plus topwater Rapalas, spinnerbaits, and plastic frogs.

Hi...smallish spinnerbaits, crankbaits and top water lures will work fine if you just want to catch bass....fish with trolling motor and cover as mush area as possible and you'll catch fish. If you want to catch big bass...plastic worms are the way to go...big plastic worms 10 -12 inches and fish them slow !!! 2-4 inches at a time stop wait and twitch again. If monster lunkers are your bag...after you catch that 5 pounder change colors or sizes...10 pound bass won't want what a 5 pounder wants...as a 5 pounder doesn't want what a two pounder wants.

You are right in one insteance but not all large bass have been cought on large bait's . it really depend's on what the bass want's that day..

so be prepared to exploit every and all the type's of bait's and rig's once on the water...:D

14'' LMB cought on a 2 1/2 '' REBEL craw dad w/ front treble removed ..

Zara Spook. Comes in at least three different sizes. Need a little technique to work the lure. Surface lure that will work on a lot of fish.
